I have just started tinkering around with a copy of Quest. I love this program but really could use some help with lowering the learning curve on it. Can anyone here make a training video for me (or audio tape or cd) so that I can learn how to master this program enough to get my games put together faster and more smoothly? I will pay shipping and for the tape and what ever else that you would think is fair. Or maybe some coaching through ICQ for an hour or so while I have Quest up and running. I can be emailed at [email protected] |

Hi Kenneth I presume from the posting you want to develop your game using the QDK editor and not code by hand (I have written a tutorial which I hope is easy to follow - if that's your way of working). I did actually start to make a 'screencam' movie of how to make a simple game in Quest using QDK.. I don't know if you are familiar with 'screencam', but what they do is effectively show my computer screen as I set up the basic game with a voice over as to what I'm doing.. is this what you mean by a 'video'? I actually ditched the half finished idea because the resultant file multi megabyte file was clearly going to be SO big no one would EVER want to download it... and my ISP would throw fits if I put in on my server.. lol. However, I still have my 'script' so to speak so I can resurrect it and burn it to a CD - if that would be of any use to you. Al Bampton |
