I would like to incorpate some mpeg video clips into my quest game. How would I do this? Can anybody explain this so that a beginer can do this (which I am)?

At the point you want the MPEG played, add an action - select "other" from the list of actions, and in the "other" box type "shell". Then in the parameter box, enter the filename of the MPEG you want to play.

This will load the user's default MPEG player and play the file.

For more information see the "shell" command in ASL.HTM.

Yes, the shell command will work with any file.

Quest will display only the first frame of an animated GIF. Shelling the GIF might work if the default GIF viewer is not something awkward like Paint Shop Pro - you might want to convert it to an AVI and shell that instead.
