I am currently d/l the newest Quest version. The last time I used Quest was before the QDK(visual game editor) came out, so I have not used Quest for some time now. In all given dues, you can call me a newbie. Anyway, I was thinking that all the Quest game developers should get together and form up some type of quild. The Quest Game Developers Guild, or QGDG. It would be a good source for developers to help each other out as well as for any other newbies who use Quest. Anyway, this probaly sounds and is a stupid idea, but hey...everybody is entitled to a few stupid ideas. ;) Later. |

Faktor, I like your idea. I had posted a similar one a while back, but that had to do with advertising Axe Software and Quest. Anyway, I am currently about to begin a new entertainment network website, and one of the sites I'm making to be apart of the network is a Quest one (Aside from wrestling, video games, etc. that I will use). Of course, I need Alex's permission first. So Alex, if you're reading this, will you give me permission to make a Quest subsite part of my network? If not, that's okay due to copyright issues, etc. If so, I would like to know what restrictions I have to the content on the site. If you visit my soon-to-be-down site at http://www.umbrellahq.com, you'll see that I have a page dedicated to Quest under Simulations (I am IN NO WAY trying to advertising Umbrella Headquarters or my new site. I am only using them as reference!). Of course, I don't have a whole lot of visitors since the site has only been opened a month, so it hasn't gotten too popular yet. What do you guys think? |

There's absolutely nothing I can do to stop anybody from making a website about Quest, and indeed I encourage anybody and everybody to do so. The only legal issues involved would be redistributing Quest itself, or using the logos etc. I'm happy for anybody to use the logos, and I *prefer* that you link to the Quest website rather than host files such as q217full.zip on your own site, but I don't really mind if that's what you prefer. Just as long as you keep the version on there quite recent :)
