I don't know if it's just my computer, but here's my problem: When playing a game, the screen doesn't automatically scroll down with the text when the text reaches the bottom. Get what I'm saying? Instead, the scroll bar and screen just remain at the top while the text is off screen at the bottom, so I have to manually scroll down after every command (Unless the screen is cleared). This is especially annoying when you have to press any key to continue, and you can't scroll down when this happens. Therefore, I miss a lot if the screen is cleared I press any key. This probably does sound confusing, but it's hard to explain. If it's not Quest, then does anybody know how I can fix this problem? |

It's the first I've heard of such a problem. Quest normally scrolls the screen down... have you tried reinstalling? What version are you using? Do you have up-to-date drivers for your graphics card? |

Actually, I don't think it's just Quest. This also happens when I am in a chat room, or in a program that scrolls down. I am working on a new PC (Just got it around September of last year), and I believe that I had no problem then. If I remember correctly, the problem just started happening one day when I logged on, and I don't remember doing anything that'd screw it up. |

You might also try replacing your RICHED*.* and RICHTXT*.* and similar files. I seem to recall a rogue application installed Windows 2000 versions of these files on my Windows 98 setup and it caused all sorts of oddness. The trouble is these are "later" versions as well, although they seem to be slightly incompatible, meaning that reinstalling won't usually replace these files with the correct versions. |
