It would be great to see some Quest entries in this year's IF competition - so why not give it a go? Win a prize and recognition for both yourself and (of course) the Quest system in the IF community.
The closing date is 28th September 2001 and the quality of entries is usually very high, so if you want a go at it, get started as soon as possible.

Whoa, I never even knew that existed. Thanks for the message, Alex. Now I actually have some motivation to make text games since it'll be against competition. What were some of the top text games of last year, and how were they?

The results for the 2000 competition can be found at http://www.textfire.com/comp00/ , together with links to places you can download them. Most of the games there will require Inform or TADS, links to which you can find at my Quest IF links page at http://www.axeuk.com/quest/qlinks.htm page (at the bottom under "Other IF programming systems").
I'd highly recommend playing a few of last year's games to see the kind of level of competiton you're up against!
