If there is anyone that would like to beta test one of my I-F Comp. entrys, please say so now. This is not necessary for the completion of my game, but it would help considerably. I can possibly beta test a game for someone. Only use me as a last resort; I have lots of trouble playing Interactive Fiction. Tyrant may want a beta-tester as well. Tyrant: if you need one, please ask here. You might possibly consider me as a beta-tester. Please feel free to post your questions or replies. Thanx Pikaflare-- [email protected] |

I'd be glad to beta-test your game so far. As of right now, I'm still straining my brain as to what I should make my game about. After playing such games as Kaged, I realize that it takes an original and unique idea to make a game if you want to do good. I was, at first, thinking about making an action game, but decided that text-games and action games don't mix. You just don't have that edge-of-the-seat feel, or at least I don't. As soon as I begin my game, which will be very soon since I'm throwing some good ideas around in the bag, you can beta-test it if ya want. My email is [email protected] |

I'll beta-test your game for sure! The only problem is I usually cannot complete the games I play without lots of help. The games in the I-F Comp 2000 weren't too hard, so I could finish most of them no problem. If your game is going to be complictated, please include some sort of hints system or walkthrough. With a walkthrough, if you choose it, you must make sure not to give complete answers such as GIVE APPLE TO HOMELESS MAN That would waste the complete point of beta-testing. Just make it simple as in this revised form of the snippet above Give the apple to the homeless man and wait for him to throw away the core. Pick up the core. |

No prob, I'll play through it and give any suggestions and bugs you should fix. Also, if you read the rules to the competition, they say that the game shouldn't be overly huge (The judges will want to complete them after all), so you should keep that in mind. You can send your game to my email ([email protected]) if you want, then I'll reply with what I think of it. P.S.- You don't still like Pokemon, do you? |

I've sent the beginning of my game to your email address. I suggest you play it several times before you tell me any bugs or what you think of it. Read the rest of the email before you play. I want you to quite playing it at a certain point otherwise you'll notice it's really screwed up. No, I DO NOT still like Pokmon. I'm still a little reluctant to give away the remainder of my cards, but otherwise to H*ll with it. Thanx Pikaflare-- [email protected] |

Please read the "Craft of Adventure" text file by Graham Nelson. Check out the beta-testing section especially to find out exactly what you should do. Thanks for your help. you do realize that we cannot vote for each other if we beta-test each other's games, right? Thanx Pikaflare-- [email protected] |

Every time you play the game, even if you don't finish it, please let me know what you think. Write it down on a piece of paper and add it to a simple report when you are finished the game so far. I will email you what I've done so far again. I fixed all the main bugs. |
