Have you played any of my games in the Games Archive? They're under my name Brad Westlake. They were really quick and took me about half a day to finish both. If you haven't played them, try them. I'm grateful for everything you've said and done so far.

I don't like AOL much and have sworn NEVER to touch anything to do with it...... again! :)
I used to have ICQ but after my re-install of windoze I haven't gotten around to getting ICQ back in again.
I've got MS Chat and MS netmeeting but that's about it for chat clients on my PC past/present/future!

actually, I've just played escape 1 and found it a bit difficult. For some reason I can't get the hose (am I suppose to?) and I can't 'put' the ladder against the greenhouse. When I type this it comes up with 'you're not holding the #ladder/rock# against the #greenhouse/hose#'.
I'm going to play escape 2 in a mo and just wanted to post my opinion on escape 1!
I'd put in some little fail-safes (ie. hints to help the player!) and some more user-friendly commands (ie.symonyms or whatever they're called!). I'm going to have to think about this for MY game! OH CR*P!!

Just played escape 2.... again, as soon as I get to a certain point I can't get any further. I get to the toilet with the bottle but no commands I try will work; use, put, fill and others I can't remember. This could be helped out by the ways I have described in the other post!

Actually, you've got the games mixed. Escape 1 is 2, and 2 is 1. you have to "lean ladder against wall" for escape 2, and "drop bottle in toilet" for escape 1. I'll add those synonyms sometime. Thanks for the help. By the way, AOl Instant Messanger is exactly the same as MSN Messanger.

Let's see, the names on the actual games are the other way round?... I'll make sure when I get home! In E2 I'm sure I tried 'lean' but I must have been mistaken! And as for E1, well in my experience of text-adventure-games, usually it has he command 'fill', even if it's just a custom command for that room (I wouldn't suggest it!).
On my last note : I don't like AOL so nya, nya, nyanya, nya!... oh and I don't use any chat clients anymore, they just seemed to fade out of existance! I might get a point to point chat client, where it goes straight to their IP..... but lets wait and see!
