So, There's a delete message, why was it deleted and what was it about?

It was Pikaflare defacing the forum under an alternative UserName, which got me suspicious as Pikaflare replied to this message only three minutes after it was posted using his own username.
I was able to check the logs some hours later and as I suspected both the defacement and Pikaflare's reply came from the same IP address.
I was able to delete the message from the thread list but it came back every time the thread list was rebuilt by the UBB CGI script (once per day), so I don't think I can completely remove the file as that will probably screw up the whole forum, so my only choice was to edit the message to say it was deleted, and delete the offending HTML file.
It has been a complete waste of my time for a pointless, immature and moronic act of stupidity from Pikaflare, which was quite unapologetic about in his reply to email to him about it.
I was planning to ban Pikaflare from posting but didn't, awaiting his reply to my email. I still have half a mind to ban him.

you got on to that pretty quick didn't you Alex!? I mean I got onto this post 10am ish (as you might know from my post earlier!) and it wasn't there then... but 9 hours is a long time!
Why would Pikaflare do such a thing?
I've kept any rudnesses(eseseses!! :)) to a minimum, by putting signs in the way of the vowels, but if this isn't enough, just tell me and I'll be more then willing to substitute for *'s like: F*** and C***!
heh, I wouldn't ban him YET!! Wait for his note to come through, him to post his EXTREME apology note and give you a couple of praises (I find that helps with you.. :P) and then see what happens from there... really it depends on how bad the origonal post was!
Like if it was against Quest, this group, ect.. well it'd be pretty bad, but if it was on competition (other Quest-type stuff), people outside the group or the government (DON'T get me started with the GOVERNMENT!!) well, it wouldn't be SO bad... especially the government!!

The post was actually made on the 6th May, and I deleted it from the thread list then, but it came back on the 7th when the thread list was regenerated, and I deleted it again, so it was completely invisible. It became visible again on the 8th but because I'd edited the actual message on the 7th to say it was removed, it came back and instantly said it was removed. If that makes sense...
I check this forum several times per day anyway so I'm usually onto such nastiness quite fast.
The post wasn't anything clever - it just consisted of a large number of expletives.
