Hello,
I've returned from my temporary absence as I have been busy beginning work on a new website, plus standard life stuff. Hopefully my schedule can break up a bit so I can focus my attention on my IF game, which will hopefully give me a step up as I am planning on making a career of creating video games.

Anyway, I notice a lot of the IF games are purely adventure. I am scrapping my current game as it is not original at all, and am currently beginning work on an action/puzzle game. It takes place in the not-too-distant future, and is basically what you can call World War 3. The main idea is that the entire world has thrown itself in chaos, as every country strives to expand itself and take over. WW3 has been prophesized as "Armageddon", which is exactly what the aftermath could lead to. Imagine the entire world battling for independence and power, and doing so with some powerful nuclear technology. With the entire world battling in the biggest war in history, it's no doubt that they may wipe out all life on Earth that exists with all the nuclear warfare going on.

Anyway, that's a run-down of what it's about. You are in control of a marine who has been sent into battle, and will hopefully try to move up the rank if he can survive. Do you guys think this kind of game will make it in the IF competition?

COOL!
I think IF takes any kind of game but that one sounds quite good! I don't think it's a good idea to just keep the game in the submarine or ship, maybe have it going to different places, or when/if you become Captain then you can travel more than when you were a ship mate!
but the game does sound as if it has great potential!!
hope all goes well.

Thanks for the comments. Actually, you aren't part of the navy. You are a ground trooper, or soldier if you will (Probably a better word for it), so the action will be much more intense. Part of it will probably take place on a submarine, though, since that's a perfect place for good ideas.

I hope it'll have a good storyline..... romance, adventure (even if you're trying to get away from it!), mystery and excitement!
But you're right about the submarine being perfect for ideas, especially if you're dealing with secret agent type stuff... maybe my next game I'll have some of that in!
but my system will have to be more like MGS, RE or PE2 in terms of enemies.
see ya
