Well it depends what you mean. If you are talking about the different versions of quest itself then yes, you can have quest 2.xx on your machine at the same time as quest 3.0. If you're talking about ASL versions, running asl 2.xx version with quest 3.0 will still work..... so yes again! Why did I say it depends?? They're both 'yes', well you know now anyway! --CW |

Hi Just a word of warning, although Quest 3.0 should run most code designed for Quest 2.xx there are a few obscure hiccoughs in compatability between the versions. Also Quest 3.0 is still a beta at present - so be careful before you write anything that relies on its functionality - things might change in the final release. Al |

Well, what I meant was that if you use asl v2.00 or whatever it *should* work in Quest3.0. Shouldn't it? I know if you use asl 2.84 with set variable that it wont work (Thanks Al for the document conversion of Quest 3.0!). And anyone with a beta/alpha release should be warey of the software..... on most parts it is safe and runs without error, but it can always go wrong at any moment. I'd check out the documentaion to stop you from writing any erronious code that might make Q3.0 go wrong! see ya. --CW |
