![]() Hello again, I trust everyone is well? I have yet another in what threatens to be a long line of questions. When you leave a room, the following appears in the game window. >west Is it possible to stop Quest from showing the direction you chose to move in? In this case >west. I would like to remove it completely, ideally, but if this is not possible then I would like to alter it at the very least. So there you have it, come on people, let's peek into those pulsing brains. :) My thanks in advance, |

![]() Why don't you want Quest to show "> west"? If it's really important to you that the player should be forced to have to remember what direction they just went in, why not just clear the screen using the "clear" command? There's no other way you can remove that text, and there's no way you can stop Quest from printing it. I've no idea why you'd want to do either though?? |

![]() Hello Alex, and thank you for the timely response. I was asking for a game idea I had, in which the direction keys would not be used soley for moving but would have a dual purpose. I will toy around with it and see if I can find a way around the problem, and if I am not able...shrug...I will scrap or alter this game for another. Not like there is a shortage of ideas. :) If you are interested in seeing the game idea so far, let me know and I can post it on my website, I am always interested in other people's input/ideas.
