Well, there's Alex, Al and Me ;) There were others around at the start of the new forum but they haven't checked back in.... Also the old forum seemed to me to have quite alot of visitors - shame this one's not as active! Computer Whizz |

LoL, Al seems to have been here since the beginning of time. He was somewhere around the third or fourth posting in existance from what I can recall (At least in this forum, there may have been an earlier forum). I've been here for quite a while. I read every one of the messages on this forum. Still, Alex/Al/CW seem to be some of thw first. Of course, Lurdidii is in there somewhere too. Maxpowr |

Well, naturally, I'm the first poster on this forum. There was a forum before this though, somewhere at network54.com. I don't recall the URL offhand and I can't test it as network54 seems to be down. I think the forum ID was something like 9821, if you want to experiment. |

Actually, if you experiment here on this forum and read the very first post (000001.html), I give the URL there, and it is: |

Ah, good times, good times! I just saw my very first post at Axe on the old forums (Sept 5, 1999), and I was known as Dredd Justice (?!!). It was exactly 10 months and 12 days after Alex's first post, and I asked how to play MP3s on my game. I then became Pablo (yet another ?!!) on Nov 14, 1999, and then went through yet ANOTHER name change as "Nick #2 (The Artist Formally Known as Pablo)" on Dec 23, 1999. I proceeded to slightly change my name from the above to just Nick 2 on Jan 18, 2000. If my memory serves me correctly, it was because there was already a Nick on the forum, and my name is also Nick. Am I done yet?... no! As I scroll through this old forum, I notice I again SLIGHTLY (ever so slightly) changed my name to "Nick 2 (I have returned!)" on April 14, 2000. And, as if you thought I was done, I changed my forum name to my real name (Nick Greenlee) on May 25, 2000. Finally, somewhere down the line (not sure where), I changed to my current name, Tyrant. That's, count em', SEVEN name changes! What was I thinking?! In the two years that I have been here, I have only completed one game (it was a DEMO), known as Silent Rage which is still in the Games Archive (and looking back at it, it is very poorly done). I can't seem to stick to large projects, so I have been sitting here thinking of a game to do that isn't very big, but still fun and deep nonetheless. Any ideas? I'm still thinking of that one fighter thing I mentioned a while back, but I need to think of how to make it fun and not repetive. By the way, good thread Carlii, and thanks to Alex for the link to the old forum. It's nice to look back at the beginning where it all started. |

Ah yes, that URL is now working. Good... interesting going through those old posts. Quest 3.1 Beta has only now implemented several of the suggestions put forward by you on 11th December 1999! That's two years ago! Glad to see you're still with us - patience is a wonderful thing. |

Alex- I'm glad I'm still here as well, especially with this wonderful gem called Quest 3.0. I remember always wanting to make my own games, and as soon as I found Quest, I was hooked. When I was little, I was HOOKED on making my own notebook choose-your-own-adventures, so obviously Quest is like a dream come true:-) |
