When I try and restore a saved game I get an error message Run time 35603 invalid key. Any ideas?
sometimes the take,speak to, look at buttons are disabled. Why does that happen?

This sounds suspiciously like a BUG to me... :-(
Have you e-mailed Ales a bug report & example files to demonstrate the problem?
If not I'd suggest you do so, so that he can 'see' the problem in action so to speak.
