I saved my game with an error in it, so now whenever I try to load the game to do work on it, i get an error message saying i can't open it! Although I can look at the error log, I can't actually get into make the changes. How do I do that?

If QDK won't open your gamefile, you have to use notepad/wordpad (or whatever plain-text editor you prefer) to open the mygame.asl file, make the correction & resave.
It should then open OK in Q.D.K. once more.
