Someone, going by the name "Allen", came to the ADRIFT forum ( http://www.adrift.org.uk/ and posted a rather immature message. It went something like, "Adrift Sucks, Quest Rulesss! Ha,ha,ha." I hope you Quest users won't sink to his level... Just thought you should know about this guy. -Ds490 |

Just like to point out, also, that the man happens to be the Creator of Quest. I suggest you read it to see how low it really is. Especially when he says, "Shut up. This topic is closed." |

quote: Just read "Allen's" post and some of the replies... Oh dear :-( Most Adrift users will realise that "Allen" is just trolling, he has (as far as I am aware) never posted on the Quest forums and most certainly has nothing to do with Quest's originator Alex Warren or (I suspect) genuine Quest users. <public service announcement> PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS! </public service announcement>
The difference is that the TADS v Inform debate is mainly conducted by mature people who don't resort to 'rubbishing' a perfectly good system just because they personally prefer something else. I happen to find that Quest suits my purposes better than ADRIFT, but I recognise that C.W's ADRIFT is a very well thought out & implemented system that will probably suit other people with different priorities rather better than Quest does. This is essentially the 'way it is' with software tools - one uses what suits one's way of working. Adrift & Quest are both seen as 'lesser' systems by the IF community at large already, neither camp will enhance its standing if users are seen to bicker like a bunch of spoiled 8 year olds. Al |

Plus, I'd just like to apologize to Alex for confusing him with that little troll. :) |
