MadBrit,

im using QDK, and i was wondering if you could tell me how i make it so that when asked "What is your Gender?" the player can only go to the next stage by typing either Male or Female, other wise it will say "Invalid Gender" then run the gender procedure again. shadow said you helped her with this, so i was wondering if you could help me do the same.

thanks =)

As this is a "restricted" choice (you only have male/female) then just put it into a menu.
The player has to choose male / female and they can't do anything else. This will also work for guilds, religion, and other restricted choices.

Just jumping in here instead of MaDbRiT because this is so OBVIOUS!!![shouts in vane]

Wait for QuestNet's next beta... It's quite old now, as summer's coming up Alex might be able to get some development time in.

Hi Guys,

Been busy moving house and so no connection or "Quest time" lately.

If you still want to offer your players choices and haven't yet sorted the problem - drop me a line Gautier.

Al

hey Al, nice to see you back.

I spent alot of hours learning ASL script as its easy for you guys when helping out as you can just give me code instead of step-by-step instructions. I used menus and it works fine, only problem is, is that Questnet doesnt support them yet lol. My developers are just sending me code at the moment, and i wont be hosting the game until Qnet full version is released. this isnt a problem because the game is barely ready for playing. The map developers, writers will be able to do their work in-game, as the save state feature will be implimented with the new version. so as for now, the game wont be online due to the menus and 'question' features on the game. only staff members can test the game (in single player mode) for now. as soon as Qnet is released fully, Feudal-Online will be released for BETA testing. Anybody who hasnt read the post in Games and Chat, and is interested in Feudal-Online the forums are at http://squiggleuk.proboards16.com . I am still recruiting staff members for the game. i have a warden, game keeper, writer, map developer, and a coder (me), as i lost my co-coder. People like Al would be very useful, as he can help me with coding. Alex would be the mos useful, but i think hes a bit too busy lol. Anybody else who knows ASL well, would be very useful and will earn good credit for helping out. Staff members are treated equally, although we do have head staff for certain areas of work, but this is nessesary. Those who have helped, thanks for your support and interest.
