I was just wondering, it sounds fun, how do you use it? |

You create a game and run it on a QuestNet server on your own system. Other people can then connect to your computer using Quest to play the game, and each user will appear to the others as being part of the game. I'll be releasing QuestNet 3.0 Beta 1 soonish so you'll be able to see for yourself more easily. |

That would be awesome, but you would need other servers to run the game, not your own (as in cases like mine you just simply can't setup your own server). |

It's not hard. All a server is is a computer connected to the net that accepts incoming connections by running certain software. QuestNet server is that "certain software", so you can run it on any computer. Then just give out the IP address and people can connect to you. If you're on a dialup connection obviously it will be difficult to run a server constantly. However, the server doesn't really need to be up 24/7 - you could just run it at a certain time or times, and there are various services available which will let you have a permanent address (rather than using a dialup connection's IP address which usually changes every time you connect). |

That sounds way cool, but I suppose you'd need a good piece of .asl to run it with! |

You should be able to turn a single player game into a multiplayer game fairly easily, with only a few changes to your ASL file needed. As to "hacking" your computer, the fact that your computer is connected to the internet means people can hack it anyway - QuestNet does not introduce any additional ways for people to break in, just like having a new phone line doesn't increase your chance of being burgled, really. |

What kind of changes Alex? Is there a section about them in any of the manuals? |

Well not yet, because there's no proper QuestNet documentation yet, but there will be. |
