Finally!!!
I opened the book, expecting to go further in the game...... when...... NOPE!!!
I read it, left, and couldn't go any further! I try to go into the "Training Room 1" as it says in the description but "Raining Room 1" in the pane to the right.... I try both, I try typing, I try "Training Room", but it always comes back with "You can't go there!"..... so what do I do? I can't leave, the book has no more secrets and I have no where to go!
...... I don't have to WAIT around for 2 hours do I? There's nothing to do!!!
Anyone??

Actually, I haven't a clue. Where's the guy who made the game? I just like to slap on letters to create totally senseless words...

And have you got the demo or the actual part 1. Are you playing it on Q2.19 or 3.0?
And Alex do u want the file 4 the games archive?

Heh, just noticed that the magic school's name is exactly the same as your user name for the forum :)
Anyway, I *think* I've got the real game, I downloaded it from your site and it said it was the REAL game! I'm right at the beginning, I talk to the head of the school, I go out, read the magic book (With two chapter's and the introduction) and can't go anywhere..... I have a feeling that your meant to go into the training room 1 but the game won't let me! Quest 3.0 (built 93??) tells me that there is a room called "Raining Room 1" instead of "Training Room 1".... but it won't let me do ANYTHING!!!

Umm Quest 3's probably causing the problem, as the game was built for 2.19...I'll have a look though at how it works in 3 and whether I can get beyond the school

OK, CW I've tryed the game out on both Q2.19 and Q3b2 and everything works fine...maybe you need to download the game again?

Well, I've got the update, 3.0.93 (build 93..... after the beta!) so Alex>>>>> you may want to look into this...... is there an erronious line of code in there that is different? Or is Quest 3.0.93 just uncompatible?
I'll downgrade to 3.0 b2 until the full release of Quest3.0 and QDK3 is put on the site.

Actually it works quite well. The only thing is it comes up with error 5 when wait is used (like Alex said!). Do you use much wait's?
Yes, one thing is that now the location is Training room 1, in the menu on the right.... in Q3.0.93 it's Raining room 1..... please Alex, could you look into this?

do you mean wait as in (w) press any key or having 2 wait 4 a certain amount of time?

I think it's just the straight forward |w, where you have to press a key.... I can see I'm going to have to switch through the different versions of Quest to play this game :) I'm going to have LOADS of fun fragmenting and de-fragging my D:\ drive!! YEY.
At least QX3 is quite good.... hey Alex, do you have a list of Admin instructions? Whenever I enter something (like "look" or "list" or ANYTHING!) it comes back with a message saying it's not a valid command...... so what ARE the valid commands?

lol! And i'm afraid i do use quite a bit of the |w command...It's probably best 4 u 2 play it in Q2.19

So u got the game 2 work finally CW!
Umm, b4 u fight the three sprites I'd sneak west, then work your way round the hexagon to where you came in, and go to the inn in Fennat 2 restore ur HP!

ok i passed the training but when i open the book and try to read it it causes a runtime error.

A double ;; seemed to be confusing Q3 v 93
Originally it was
place <Your Training room;;Training Room 1>
which worked fine in all previous versions, I changed it to
place <Your Training room;Training Room 1>
and all works fine :)

Re-thinking about this, maybe Alex could make a "bug" checker? Just in case of these little errors.... Maybe we should all convert to the religion of "QDK"!
Anyway.... I'm off to download the ammended MS:1, and am going to:
A. Complete MS:1
B. Start planning my RPG
C. Start planning my Survival Horror preveiw.
