Think King's Quest. Only better. |

Whatever it is, please try to make sure it's spelling and grammar are good (see this subject line). There's nothing worse than an IF game that seems to be written by a 9-year-old. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it as I absolutely LOVE King's Quest games! Six was always my favorite, and the other ones were really good as well. Never played 7, though. Please keep us up to date on this forum so we can see how the game is progressing. |

If you're from the good ol' UK, then I'm not sure if King's Quest ever came out over there. However, it was a popular classic game here in the states. It started as a text/graphical game. Basically you type in commands, but you can always see what's going on. It was like this for a few installments back in the 80's I believe, then it finally left the text genre and went to total graphic where you can collect inventory, move your character, etc. Not really much fighting, but more of a puzzle/adventure game... kinda hard to explain, but VERY addictive! I'm sure you could find some downloads of it on the net as they are pretty old, and therefore are most likely free. |

quote: Hmm, that was entirely predictable. The golden rule is - never announce a massive game when you haven't got close to finishing it. And please mind your language! |

Why was it cancelled? And yes, I can relate to cancelling games. However, the fighting game I mentioned involving the Axe Software members is still being developed, but it was just put on hold for a moment. As of now, I am developing two games. Once Alex figures out the whole Status Variables problem I'm having, hopefully I can keep going:-) |

I fixed the status variables problem this afternoon and I'll upload Quest/QDK 3.03 at some point, maybe later this evening if you're really lucky. |
