I'm a newbie at this quest game and I don't know any servers to go to. Can anyone give some?

You're talking about servers, so I assume you are either talking about:

1.) Playing QuestNet
...or
2.) Downloading Quest

If you're asking which server to download Quest from, just download from the nearest area to you. As for QuestNet, that's up in the air right now. I don't know many people who got the hang of the thing yet, but give it some time. As soon as I can finish some of my little projects, I'm going to start foolin around with QuestNet.

I'm sorry but I'm confused. I have downloaded quest, but I want to be in a RPG. But I don't know any servers (host names, networks... whatever you want to call them).

Well you need to find or create a Quest RPG MDevil, and then you can play it with QuestNet using your server.

I have no idea how to create or where to find one. Can you help me?

Hmmm, you are going to have a hard time. Just visit the Quest page at www.axeuk.com, and go download the newest version of Quest. Using QDK (unless you know how to code with Quest), you can make your own game. There are no current QuestNet games out right now, so you're only option is to create your own.

Right - it sounds to me as if you think Quest is an online gaming concept (Like MUD's.)..... well, it isn't!
Quest plays games MOSTLY on YOUR hard drive.
It DOES have the capability to play games on other computers - but as no-one really understands QuestNet, there aren't any games out.
As soon as some key features are there, I'm going to create a fighting game. But then the point that you need a computer to run it on, and I'm in England, and alot of you are in America ('cept Alex & Al).

I'm an Aussie thank-you very much!

Anyway, I thought you could play just any old piece of .asl on QuestNet?!

Computer Whizz posted 05-01-2001 14:05 GMT
Well, QX3 used to use ASL 284 or something - but even then it was old compared to the Quest 3 alpha version's of ASL 284. Basically it needs some better stuff - usernames & passwords, arrays, a way to access certain people's; locations, inventory, variables, ect... This will give use a much more powerful system whereby we can make a truely interactive game, alot like MUD's.

True you CAN run and old piece of ASL but it's not really meant for QuestNet!
