The Axe Software forums are moving due to a software upgrade. The new Axe Software forums are located at:

http://www.axeuk.com/phpBB2/

The reason the forums have moved is that the current forums run on UBB, which is a little long in the tooth. The new forums run on the free phpBB software which offers a lot more features, including a built-in Search facility.

I had hoped to be able to import the current forums into phpBB, but this unfortunately did not work. This means the new forums start afresh, so you will have register your username again to use the new forums.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this, but I hope you will enjoy using the new forums, which are much more up-to-date in terms of features and so will be more in-line with other web forums you may use.

In order to facilitate the transition I am leaving posting enabled on these old forums for the next few weeks, so you can still reply to current threads, and you can also post if you're having any problems using the new forums. Please post new discussions to the new forums if you can.

Posting to the old forums will be disabled in the near future, but they will remain available online for browsing for the foreseeable future.

Enjoy using the new forums!

Ok. first of all, phpBB (that version) has many bugs, and is complete crap. secondly, YaBB SE is now available, and Invision power board is also better. i used to run a forum hosting service until a couple of weeks ago, so i know the ins and outs of each forum. phpBB is crap alex, please change it :S its horrid! (also, if u want me to do a logo, ill submit it here)

What's the difference? YaBB looks pretty similar to phpBB. What is wrong with phpBB?

trust me, when i setup my forum hosting service again there is NOWAY im putting up phpBB again. so many complaints about bugs in the admin control, login errors, and it lacks so many quality features. the best feature, and ONLY good feature is the excellent ability to totally customise the whole layout of a phpBB board, but its not quality we want. i was wrong about the whole YaBB is better thing, the old axeuk forum was better. its a professional look, but you can get such a better forum. anyway, this is my opinion, its your game and your site after all. i shall argue no more lol

oh and, another reason it dont look right is because forums like that are purposly designed for lots of forums, and ones like this forum are just for a few boards. i suggest...

(i dont really know much about this).

I'd like to see more boards, which will sort out the converations more, and then u can pick specifically what you want to talk about.

There really isn't a lot of point in having a huge number of forums yet, as the number of people using these forums is quite small. Obviously as time goes on I'll add more forums if and when necessary, but at the moment there's really no point in having twenty forums which might get one post a month.

i guess so lol.

Im setting up a small promotional section up on my site. Quest will be promoted as the number 1 text-based mud engine. The promotional section will also include other games (only muds), which will be placed into the Gang of Games section. After the release of QuestNet comes out, ill allow online quest games to be submitted, but they have to be good, played alot, nice staff, and open to roleplaying.
